The firm
Started by lenders who got tired of the box
Business Capital Today opened with a simple bet: review a business the way its owner sees it, and most "unbankable" companies turn out to be anything but.

Business Capital Today was started by commercial credit officers who were done turning down healthy companies over paperwork technicalities and thin collateral files. The operators were fine. The underwriting box was the problem.
So we built a desk that reviews a company the way its owner sees it: what came in, how reliably, and what the next ninety days look like. Deposits over credit scores. Trajectories over single snapshots.
We fund with our own capital, which means our credit decision and our accountability are the same thing. We are not a marketplace that blasts your file to twenty lenders and skims a commission off whatever comes back.
How we operate
The full number first
Every offer opens with total cost, term, and collection schedule on one page. Any fee is printed before you sign, never after.
No stacking
We won't put a second position on a file we don't believe can carry it — even when a broker is pushing for it.
A name, not a ticket
Each deal gets a named manager who stays with you through renewal and answers the phone.
Cheapest fit wins
If a credit line or equipment note beats an advance on cost for your situation, we lead with that instead.
Timeline
The start
Two former commercial credit officers open a direct funding desk in Detroit.
2013
Underwriting moves fully in-house; typical decisions drop from days to hours.
2017
$250 million deployed, and a renewals desk opens for returning clients.
2021
Equipment notes and invoice factoring join the lineup for clients who qualify for cheaper structures.
Today
More than 13,500 businesses funded; most new volume arrives as renewals and referrals.
Why the source matters
When the people pricing your file are the ones sending the wire, nothing gets lost in translation. There is no broker margin baked in, no syndication committee, and no waiting on an outside approval for an offer we have already made.
That is also why most of our monthly volume arrives as clients coming back — or sending someone.
